Frequently asked questions

How many DGCA subjects does the TWA-007 CPL Ground Theory course cover?
TWA-007 covers all 7 DGCA CPL written examination subjects: (1) Air Navigation, (2) Aviation Meteorology, (3) Air Regulations, (4) Technical General, (5) Technical Specific, and (6) Flight Planning — plus (7) RTR (Radio Telephony Restricted) as a separate licence requirement. This is the complete DGCA CPL written examination package, with dedicated mock papers and oral assessment for each subject.
No — TWA-007 is ground theory only. Flying training is conducted separately at Tiger Wings’ affiliated flying school and costs approximately ₹25–35 Lakhs additional (market rate, partner school). The ground theory diploma (₹2,50,000) prepares students to pass DGCA written examinations; the flying school handles the actual flying hours required for SPL solo, PPL (minimum 40 hours), and CPL (200 hours total — 100 PIC, 50 cross-country, 5 night).
DGCA requires a minimum 70% score in each CPL written examination paper. Tiger Wings’ mock examination infrastructure is designed around this threshold — students who achieve 70%+ on all mock papers are formally declared ‘DGCA Exam Ready’ and guided through the DGCA exam registration process. The academy’s 26-week curriculum includes multiple full mock papers per subject.
Yes. You can prepare for and sit DGCA CPL written examinations without concurrent flying training — the written papers are entirely separate from the flying skill test. Many students complete ground theory first (with Tiger Wings) and then begin flying at the affiliated flying school once they have passed some or all written papers. This approach also helps confirm career commitment before investing in the expensive flying phase.

We are a premier aviation training institute dedicated to shaping the next generation of industry leaders. With over two decades of experience, we provide an unparalleled educational experience designed for ambition.
